- 1 pound broccoli florets
- 1/2 pound cauliflower florets
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft.
- Add the broccoli and cauliflower florets to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until they start to tenderize.
- Sprinkle in the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine.
- In a baking dish, layer the vegetable mixture, and then top with shredded cheese and grated Parmesan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to mix different types of cheese or add cooked chicken or sausage for a heartier dish. Top with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
