Description

A comforting sandwich filled with juicy meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked meatballs (homemade or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, simmer the meatballs in marinara sauce over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Lightly butter the inside of each hoagie roll and toast them in a skillet or oven until golden.
  3. Place 3–4 meatballs in each toasted roll. Spoon extra marinara sauce over the top.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and broil for 1–2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Top with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For the best flavor, use homemade marinara sauce; red pepper flakes can be added for extra heat.
