A hearty, flavorful spaghetti sauce made with ground beef and Italian sausage, perfect for busy days.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Spaghetti noodles, cooked
- Parmesan cheese, for topping
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Drain any fat.
- Add the cooked meats to the slow cooker along with the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Serve hot over cooked spaghetti noodles, and top with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add bell peppers or mushrooms during cooking. Adjust seasoning to taste, and for a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last hour of cooking.
