Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Alternate Mixing: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until the batter is smooth.
  5. Create Chocolate Batter: Transfer 1/3 of the batter to another bowl and mix in the cocoa powder until well combined.
  6. Swirl It!: Pour the vanilla batter into a greased loaf or bundt pan. Then, add the chocolate batter on top. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together gently for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool & Serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice it up and enjoy your beautiful Marble Cake!
