Description

A delightful dessert that combines rich flavors of vanilla and chocolate in a beautifully marbled loaf.


Ingredients

  • 200 g butter (softened)
  • 180 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 eggs (size M)
  • 280 g all-purpose flour (Type 405)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 70 ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (about 20 g)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for cocoa mixture)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for greasing the pan)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • A little butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for convection). Grease a loaf pan (25 cm) with butter and coat it with flour.
  2. In a bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and salt on high speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the batter, alternating with the milk until combined.
  4. Transfer one-third of the vanilla batter to a separate bowl. Mix the cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and additional milk until smooth; stir this into the reserved batter.
  5. Spoon half of the vanilla batter into the loaf pan, followed by half of the chocolate batter. Repeat with the remaining batters.
  6. Use a fork to swirl the batter together for a marbled effect and smooth the top.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother mix. Don’t overmix to maintain marble effect.
