Description

A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining rich chocolate and mascarpone flavors with refreshing tangerines.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams of mascarpone
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • Cookies with the Spoon (like ladyfingers)
  • 200 ml of strong coffee (chilled)
  • 50 ml orange liqueur (optional)
  • Cocoa powder
  • 45 tangerines, peeled and in segments
  • Grated dark chocolate
  • Mint leaves (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until creamy.
  2. Add the mascarpone cheese and mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Dip the cookies in the chilled coffee mixed with orange liqueur if using, then layer them in a dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.
  6. Add a layer of tangerine segments on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies, mascarpone mixture, and tangerine segments.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle grated dark chocolate over it.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.

Notes

Use fresh tangerines for the best taste. Make sure the coffee is chilled before dipping the cookies.
