Description

A delightful dessert that combines the juicy flavors of fresh peaches with creamy pudding and crunchy Nilla wafers, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14-ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1.5 cups Cold Water
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) pkg. Instant Vanilla Pudding (JELLO Brand)
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 (11-ounce) box Nilla Wafers
  • 6 to 8 large Fresh Peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding by whisking together sweetened condensed milk and cold water until combined. Add instant vanilla pudding and mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  2. Make the peach filling by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add peaches, sugar, brown sugar, and lemon juice, cooking for 2 minutes until sugar dissolves. Stir in cornstarch and cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Prepare the crumble topping by mixing together butter, sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until a crumble forms. Heat the flour in microwave until warm for better mixing.
  4. Whip the heavy cream in a stand mixer until stiff peaks form, then gently fold in the chilled pudding mixture until combined.
  5. Assemble the dessert in a trifle bowl or individual glasses with layers of pudding mixture, Nilla wafers, peach filling, and crumble topping. Repeat layers as desired and garnish with whipped cream and crumble.
  6. Chill the assembled dessert for 4-6 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor; if out of season, canned peaches can be used. Prepare the peach filling ahead of time for easier assembly.
