- 1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (125 g) wheat flour
- 2 cups (500 ml) warm milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar until combined.
- Add the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour while alternating with the warm milk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
