  • 1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup (200 g) sugar
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (125 g) wheat flour
  • 2 cups (500 ml) warm milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar until combined.
  3. Add the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour while alternating with the warm milk until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
