- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (sugar-free)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the milk and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Serve plain or dress it up with frosting, whipped cream, or fresh fruit. A dusting of powdered sugar adds a lovely touch.
