A decadent dessert featuring three layers of rich chocolate mousse – dark, milk, and white – perfect for special occasions.

- 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream, divided
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup milk chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup white chocolate, chopped
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
- Cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan and refrigerate.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Whip 1/2 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Heat the other 1/2 cup of heavy cream with sugar until warm. Mix the melted dark chocolate with the warm cream mixture and fold in the whipped cream gently. Spread over the chilled base and refrigerate.
- Repeat the process for the milk chocolate layer, using 1 cup of heavy cream. Spread this layer over the dark chocolate layer and refrigerate again.
- Repeat for the white chocolate layer, also using 1 cup of heavy cream. Spread this final layer on top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings for decoration.
Notes
Chill each mousse layer before adding the next one to keep the layers distinct. Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
