  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels and rub it evenly with olive oil.
  3. Season generously with minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper, ensuring even distribution on all sides.
  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloin for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  5. Pour melted butter over the tenderloin and add beef broth to the skillet, slightly covering the bottom with liquid.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  7. Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Slice into thick medallions and serve with pan juices drizzled over the top.

Notes

Let meat rest before slicing to retain juices. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
