- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup pistachio paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup pistachio ganache
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let the cakes cool in the pans.
- Mix the pistachio paste with the whipped heavy cream and spread this mixture between the layers of the cooled cakes.
- Pour the pistachio ganache over the top of the cake and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Ensure that the cakes are completely cool before adding the filling and ganache to prevent melting. For extra flavor, you can lightly toast the chopped pistachios before adding them to the cake.
