A delicious combination of pumpkin and chocolate with a hint of spices, perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in the pumpkin puree.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in 1/2 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan. Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the bars.
- Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
Notes
Best served at room temperature. Can be enjoyed plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
