- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
- Chocolate shavings for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Add the butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Once done, let it cool.
- While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until it forms soft peaks.
- Once the cake is cool, layer the cream mixture between the cake layers.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the top to create a delicious glaze.
- Finally, garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
