Ingredients

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache
  • Chocolate shavings for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
  3. Add the butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Once done, let it cool.
  5. While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until it forms soft peaks.
  6. Once the cake is cool, layer the cream mixture between the cake layers.
  7. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top to create a delicious glaze.
  8. Finally, garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
