- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate ganache
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, then mix until everything is combined.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool completely in the pans before removing them.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and gently fold it into the chocolate ganache.
- Spread the ganache mixture between the layers of cake and over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Chill the cake for 1 hour before serving.
