  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate ganache
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, then beat until combined.
  4. Stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Divide batter between pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let cakes cool completely.
  7. Whip heavy cream and fold into chocolate ganache.
  8. Spread ganache between layers and over the top, letting it drip down the sides.
  9. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
