A delightful dessert that combines moist bananas and crunchy walnuts, layered with rich cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting
  • Banana slices for garnish
  • Walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Then combine this with the dry ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped walnuts. Pour the batter into greased cake pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely. Layer the cakes with cream cheese frosting in between.
  7. Before serving, garnish with banana slices and chopped walnuts.
