- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup cream cheese frosting
- Banana slices for garnish
- Walnuts for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Then combine this with the dry ingredients.
- Gently fold in the chopped walnuts. Pour the batter into greased cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely. Layer the cakes with cream cheese frosting in between.
- Before serving, garnish with banana slices and chopped walnuts.
