Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dessert combining rich Oreo cookies with colorful M&M’s, perfect for parties or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 18 Oreo Cookies, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup M&M’s (plain or any flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray.
- In a large, microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter (about 1 minute on high power).
- Allow the melted butter to cool slightly, then add the egg, brown sugar, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the flour and gently stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chopped Oreos.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Evenly sprinkle M&M’s over the top, pressing them lightly into the batter.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the edges are slightly firm and the top is set. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with a few moist crumbs but no wet batter.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
