Description

A delicious and hearty dish combining crispy fries, savory ham, and tasty toppings, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries or use frozen fries
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 lb of ham, cooked and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 clove of chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • Lemon juice
  • Fresh, chopped parsley
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup of fresh cream
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
  • Ketchup or marinara sauce (optional)
  • Ranch dressing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a fryer or pan at 375°F (190°C). Fry the potato strips until golden brown. Drain them on paper towels and season with salt.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Then, add the chopped ham, sprinkle with paprika, and drizzle with lemon juice. Cook for about 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley and set aside.
  3. Place fries on a plate and sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top. Microwave or roast them until the cheese melts. Add the crumbled bacon and drizzle fresh cream on top. Garnish with parsley or chives.
  4. Place the ham on one side of the plate and the loaded fries on the other. Serve with ketchup, marinara, or ranch dressing. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For best texture with leftovers, reheat in the oven. Fresh potatoes yield the best flavor.
