Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large shallot
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup Italian parsley leaves
- 2 Fresno chili, stems removed and roughly chopped (optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 cup cooked lentils
- Buns for serving
- Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, sauces)
Instructions
- In a skillet, sauté the shallot and garlic until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix sautéed shallots and garlic with lentils, parsley, and Fresno chilies.
- Add cumin and mix thoroughly.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Cook the patties on a grill or stovetop until browned on both sides.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, feel free to add other herbs or spices. If the mixture is too wet, add breadcrumbs or oats to bind better.
