Description

A comforting dish combining tender chicken with creamy bowtie pasta, infused with rich flavors of lemon and garlic.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice, zest, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and add it back into the skillet.
  7. Add the pasta to the skillet and toss everything together. Stir in Parmesan cheese until everything is well coated.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat on stovetop or microwave.
