Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for a gluten-free option)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Toss the chicken pieces with flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until coated.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add chicken in a single layer and cook 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, honey, and lemon zest; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately, garnished with lemon slices if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and garlic for a few hours before cooking. Adjust garlic or lemon juice based on your taste preferences.
