Description

A delightful dessert of flaky puff pastry layered with rich whipped cream and chocolate ganache, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.1 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups cold heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ganache, store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and cut it into equal-sized rectangles or squares.
  3. Place the pastry pieces on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Prick the pastry all over with a fork.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up. Let it cool completely.
  5. While the pastry is cooling, prepare the whipped cream. In a large chilled bowl, combine cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  6. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  7. Once the pastry is cool, gently split each piece horizontally into two layers.
  8. Place the bottom layer of a pastry on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of whipped cream on top, drizzle with chocolate ganache, and add the top layer of pastry over the cream.
  9. Repeat this process with the remaining pastry layers, whipped cream, and ganache.
  10. Dust the top of the assembled pastries with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best results.
