- 1/2 cup melted butter (125 g)
- 1 cup milk (250 ml)
- 2 cups flour (300 g)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (13 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Stir in melted butter and vanilla essence until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before frosting or serving.
Notes
Serve at room temperature, frost with chocolate icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar and fresh berries.
