- 4 Italian sausage links (mild or hot)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage links and brown them until they are cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the sliced bell peppers and red onion. Sauté until soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Return the cooked sausages to the pan. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For added heat, use spicy Italian sausage or add red pepper flakes. You can mix and match bell peppers for additional sweetness.
