A classic dish combining juicy Italian sausage with sautéed peppers and onions, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 Italian sausage links (mild or hot)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage links and brown them until they are cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the sliced bell peppers and red onion. Sauté until soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Return the cooked sausages to the pan. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For added heat, use spicy Italian sausage or add red pepper flakes. You can mix and match bell peppers for additional sweetness.
