Description

Soft, fluffy vanilla cupcakes perfect for any occasion, easily customizable with various toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour (190 g)
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115 g)
  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk (120 ml)
  • 1 cup icing sugar (130 g)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115 g, for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 23 tbsp milk (for frosting)
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place paper liners in your cupcake tin.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
  3. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one by one, then mix in the vanilla.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
  6. Fill the cupcake molds up to 2/3 of their capacity.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Cool completely before decorating.
  8. For the glaze (optional): Beat the butter until creamy, gradually add icing sugar, then vanilla and milk until desired texture.
  9. If desired, color the frosting with food coloring.
  10. Use a piping bag to frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles or pearls.
  11. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure butter is at room temperature for a creamier texture. Do not overmix the batter for light and fluffy cupcakes.
