- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped fresh plums
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup melted dark chocolate for drizzling
- Sliced plums for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped fresh plums and dark chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter and add a spoonful of chopped plums in the center, then cover with more batter until the cups are about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the cooled muffins and garnish with sliced plums.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for up to two months.
