- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring to beat well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely, slice into layers, spread caramel sauce between the layers and on top, sprinkling chopped pecans over the frosting.
- Serve the cake and enjoy!
