Description

A comforting and cheesy lasagna made with layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg until smooth.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
  7. Add a layer of the ricotta mixture, followed by the cooked beef, more marinara sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers until the ingredients are used up, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture. Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes after cooking.
