A comforting and cheesy lasagna made with layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and marinara sauce.

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 3 cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
- Add a layer of the ricotta mixture, followed by the cooked beef, more marinara sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until the ingredients are used up, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture. Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes after cooking.
