- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain them, and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the meat is browned, then drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Lay down 3 lasagna noodles. Top them with a layer of the ricotta mixture, a layer of cooked beef, a layer of marinara sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat these layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella and sprinkling Parmesan on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes after baking for easier cutting. You can add vegetables for extra nutrition or make it spicy with red pepper flakes.
