Delicious homemade donuts that are sweet, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients

- 500g plain flour
- 50g sugar
- 7g dry yeast
- 250ml warm milk
- 2 large eggs
- 50g butter (melted)
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
- 200g chocolate (for glaze)
- Sprinkles or icing sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt together.
- Add the warm milk and eggs to the dry mixture and mix until combined.
- Knead in the melted butter until the dough is smooth. Cover the bowl and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface. Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters. Let the cut donuts rise for another 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown, then drain them on paper towels.
- To prepare the glaze, melt the chocolate in a bowl. Dip each donut in the melted chocolate and top with sprinkles or icing sugar.
- Serve the donuts fresh and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature. For best results, consume within a couple of days.
