- 500g plain flour
- 50g sugar
- 7g dry yeast
- 250ml warm milk
- 2 large eggs
- 50g butter (melted)
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
- 200g chocolate (for glaze)
- Sprinkles or icing sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add warm milk and eggs to the dry ingredients.
- Knead in the melted butter until the dough is smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into rings. Let the donuts rise for another 30 minutes.
- Fry the donuts in hot oil until they turn golden brown. Drain them on paper towels.
- Melt the chocolate and dip the warm donuts in it. Add sprinkles or sprinkle icing sugar on top.
- Serve and enjoy fresh!
Notes
Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze them for about a month.
