Description

A rich, moist chocolate cake that every chocolate lover dreams of, topped with a smooth chocolate ganache and decorated with chocolate bars and truffles.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g sugar
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100ml cream
  • Various chocolate bars and truffles for decoration
  • Chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl, then let it cool.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy, then mix in the cooled chocolate mixture.
  4. Sift the flour and baking powder together, and gently fold it into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Once baked, let the cake cool. In the meantime, prepare the ganache by heating the cream and pouring it over chopped chocolate.
  7. Stir until smooth, then spread the ganache over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  8. Decorate the cake with broken chocolate bars, truffles, and chocolate chips.
  9. Chill the cake for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Make sure ingredients are at room temperature and do not overmix the batter for best results.
