- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g butter
- 4 eggs
- 150g sugar
- 100g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100ml cream
- Various chocolate bars and truffles for decoration
- Chocolate chips for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl, then let it cool down a bit.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy. Then mix in the melted chocolate mixture.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into the batter, and gently fold it in until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cake cool down completely. Meanwhile, prepare the ganache by heating the cream, then pour it over chopped chocolate to melt.
- Spread the ganache over the cooled cake, letting it drip down the sides for a gorgeous look.
- Decorate with broken chocolate bars, truffles, and chocolate chips on top.
- Chill the cake in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
