Ingredients

  • 150g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g sugar
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100ml cream
  • Various chocolate bars and truffles for decoration
  • Chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl, then let it cool down a bit.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy. Then mix in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Sift the flour and baking powder into the batter, and gently fold it in until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool down completely. Meanwhile, prepare the ganache by heating the cream, then pour it over chopped chocolate to melt.
  7. Spread the ganache over the cooled cake, letting it drip down the sides for a gorgeous look.
  8. Decorate with broken chocolate bars, truffles, and chocolate chips on top.
  9. Chill the cake in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
