Description

A crowd-pleasing dessert that combines rich chocolate and creamy cheesecake with the beloved Oreo cookie.


Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chocolate ganache for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with the melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  5. Gently fold in the melted chocolate. Pour this cheesecake mixture over the prepared crust.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set. Let it cool completely at room temperature.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread it over the cooled cheesecake.
  8. Drizzle the top with chocolate ganache and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Once chilled, slice and serve!

Notes

For a different twist, try using white chocolate instead of dark chocolate or experiment with different flavors of Oreos.
