A decadent chocolate cake filled with gooey marshmallows and creamy peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
- 2 cups marshmallows
- 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat everything until smooth.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are cool, spread peanut butter between the layers.
- Coat the whole cake with chocolate ganache.
- Top with marshmallows and broil or use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows until golden.
- Finally, sprinkle crushed peanuts on top for added crunch.
- Let the cake cool for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a denser cake, substitute some all-purpose flour with cake flour. Ensure baking powder and baking soda are fresh for the best rise.
