Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples and pour the batter into the greased pan.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top and bake for 60 minutes.
  7. After the bread is cool, drizzle it with caramel sauce.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
