Indulgent Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

Description

A rich dessert featuring three layers of luscious mousse from dark, milk, and white chocolate, perfect for any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 8 oz milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the chocolate wafer crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely.
  5. For the dark chocolate mousse, melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. Let it cool slightly.
  6. In a bowl, whip 1/2 cup heavy cream to stiff peaks, then fold in the melted dark chocolate. Set aside.
  7. For the milk chocolate mousse, melt the milk chocolate. Then, whip another 1/2 cup heavy cream until stiff. Fold the whipped cream into the melted chocolate and set aside.
  8. For the white chocolate mousse, melt the white chocolate. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth, then whisk in the melted white chocolate.
  9. Layer the dark chocolate mousse, milk chocolate mousse, and white chocolate mousse on top of the cooled crust.
  10. Chill the cake for 4-6 hours or overnight to set.
  11. Garnish with extra chocolate shavings or whipped cream before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to a month.
