Description
A delightful treat that captures the sweet, juicy flavor of fresh peaches, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds fresh peaches (peeled, pitted, and chopped)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk (or as needed)
Instructions
- Dice the peaches and mix them with sugar in a bowl. Let the mixture sit while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, combine the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
- Stir in the peach and sugar mixture into the milk mixture until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream freezer container. Add enough whole milk to fill the container to the fill line, about 2 cups. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream. For quicker hardening, you can cool the container before adding the mixture.
Notes
For smoother texture, blend the peach mixture before adding to the ice cream base. Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
