Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked white beans (or 2 cans, drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 cup hot honey (or regular honey + 1 tsp hot sauce)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the hot honey, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the cooked white beans to the mixture and stir until they are fully coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Evenly top the beans with the chopped bacon.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until bubbly and slightly caramelized at the edges.
  7. Stir gently before serving.

Notes

For added texture, use different types of beans or omit the bacon for a vegetarian version.
