- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Mash the strawberries in a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Stir the mashed strawberries into the cream mixture until combined.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and adjust sugar based on preference. For extra creaminess, let the ice cream soften before serving.
