A sweet and refreshing treat made with fresh strawberries, perfect for warm days.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Mash the strawberries in a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, the rest of the sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Stir the strawberries into the cream mixture until combined.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a container and freeze for at least 240 minutes.
Notes
Use ripe and sweet strawberries for the best flavor. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture in a container and stir every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours.
