Description

A sweet and refreshing treat made with fresh strawberries, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mash the strawberries in a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, the rest of the sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Stir the strawberries into the cream mixture until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream into a container and freeze for at least 240 minutes.

Notes

Use ripe and sweet strawberries for the best flavor. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture in a container and stir every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours.
