A fun and customizable homemade pizza recipe that brings the taste of your favorite pizzeria into your kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, sausage, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, heat it as well.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza peel.
  8. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle with cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and experiment with different sauces. Don’t overcrowd with toppings for even cooking.
