Description

Delightful mini tarts with a buttery crust and sweet pineapple filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g wheat flour
  • 200 g cold butter, cubed
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 24 tbsp cold water (if needed)
  • Pineapple filling (quantity as desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the cubed cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Incorporate the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add cold water, if necessary, to form a dough.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut it into small circles.
  7. Place each circle in a tartlet tin.
  8. Fill each with the pineapple filling.
  9. Bake for about 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature; dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey for extra sweetness. Can be stored for up to three days at room temperature or a week in the refrigerator.
