Description

A delightful homemade peach ice cream recipe perfect for warm summer days, using fresh, ripe peaches for a creamy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Dice the peaches and mix them with sugar in a bowl. Let it sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Then add the peaches and sugar mixture. Stir everything together.
  3. Pour the mixture into a gallon ice cream freezer container. Add enough whole milk to fill the container up to the fill line, which is about 2 cups.
  4. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream.
  5. For better results, chill the container before adding the mixture.

Notes

Serve with fresh peach slices or caramel. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.
