Description
A creamy, cold scoop of homemade peach ice cream made with fresh peaches that brings a refreshing flavor perfect for summer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 fluid ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk, or as needed
Instructions
- Dice peaches and mix with sugar in a bowl. Let it sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, combine half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Then add the peaches and sugar mixture. Stir everything together.
- Pour the mixture into a gallon ice cream freezer container. Add enough whole milk to fill the container up to the fill line, which is about 2 cups.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream.
- Cool the container before adding the mixture to help it harden faster.
Notes
Serve topped with fresh peach slices or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Store in an airtight container in the freezer and enjoy within a few weeks for optimal freshness.
