Description

A delightful and creamy homemade peach ice cream made with fresh peaches, perfect for summer enjoyment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 fluid ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Dice the peaches and mix them with sugar in a bowl, letting it sit while you prep the other ingredients.
  2. In another bowl, blend the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla together.
  3. Add the peach and sugar mixture to the cream mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into a gallon ice cream freezer container and add enough whole milk to reach the fill line (about 2 cups).
  5. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze your ice cream.
  6. Pre-chill the container for faster hardening.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and consider blending the peach mixture for a smoother texture.
