Description

A delicious and fruity spread combining the bright flavors of oranges and strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 kg of oranges
  • 500 g of fresh, ripe strawberries
  • 700 g of sugar
  • Juice of 2 lemons

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges and strawberries thoroughly.
  2. Peel the oranges and remove any seeds, then chop them into small pieces.
  3. Hull the strawberries and cut them into halves or quarters.
  4. In a large pot, combine the chopped oranges and strawberries.
  5. Add the sugar and lemon juice, and stir well to combine.
  6. Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 minutes.
  7. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it starts to boil, then reduce heat to low.
  8. Let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens, about 20-30 minutes.
  9. To test the jam’s consistency, place a spoonful on a cold plate.
  10. Once ready, pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, seal them while hot, and allow to cool completely.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and adjust sugar based on your taste preference. Make sure to properly sterilize jars to prevent spoilage.
