Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • Lo mein noodles
  • Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the sliced flank steak with 2 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add your choice of vegetables and stir-fry for a few minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in 1/4 cup soy sauce and beef broth, bringing to a simmer.
  7. Add cooked lo mein noodles to the pan and toss everything together to combine.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
