- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- Apple filling (chopped apples with cinnamon and sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla and milk.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mix until just combined.
- Prepare the apple filling by mixing chopped apples with cinnamon and sugar.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, then layer the apple filling, and finish with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm or toasted with butter. Can be sprinkled with powdered sugar for presentation.
